چکیده

Marburg virus disease (MVD) is a highly fatal, but uncommon viral which causes infection accompanied by hemorrhage and fever. It caused (MARV), zoonotic belonging to the family of viruses known as Filoviridae, single stranded RNA negative-sense virus, marburgvirus species. was established have up 88% fatality rate. Fruit bat thought be natural host for well other non-human primate such grivet monkeys (Chlorocebus aethiops), however noted that fruit could actual MVD. has two recognized variants, Lake Victoria Ravn Marburgvirus with 20% overall divergence. The transmission occurs through prolonged exposure an infected animal bites, or contact fluid, faeces, droplets, blood from host, whereas human-to-human result person, surfaces contaminated MARV. MVD incubation period 2 - 21day after initial marked abrupt rapid manifestation symptoms high fever, chills, severe headaches, malaise myalgia, possibility nausea, vomiting, chest pain, sore throat, jaundice, pancreatic inflammation, extreme weight loss, disorientation, shock, liver failure, extensive bleeding, multi-organ malfunction. can diagnosed using variety methods, including culture, reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT- PCR), serology, immunohistochemistry confirmation. Since no vaccine been approved so far MVD, it prevented avoiding suspected (Rousettus aegyptiacus) their habitats handling of, sick animals, persons treatment done supportive therapy includes electrolyte fluid balancing, oxygen status pressure maintenance, lost clotting factors’ replacement in instances excessive complicated secondary treatment. This study focuses on creating more awareness following recent outbreak some regions world.
